WE'RE SUPER EXCITED TO INTRODUCE TWO OF OUR NEW DISTRICT AND CAMPUS LEADERS.

SO WE'LL START WITH INTRODUCING TO YOU DR.

JUSTIN BARRETT, OUR NEW PRINCIPAL, DR.

BARRETT. SO A LITTLE BIT ABOUT DR.

BARRETT'S PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND FIRST.

DR. BARRETT SERVED IN OUR UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES, SPECIFICALLY IN THE ARMY.

HE WAS AN ACTIVE DUTY IN BOTH GERMANY AND IN IRAQ, AND DURING HIS TIME, AS IN THE ARMY, HE EARNED SEVERAL MEDALS, INCLUDING THE NATIONAL DEFENSE SERVICE MEDAL, ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL, THE GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM MEDAL, AND THE OPERATION FREEDOM MEDAL.

AFTER HIS DISTINGUISHED SERVICE IN THE ARMY, DR.

BARRETT WENT INTO EDUCATION.

HE STARTED AS A TEACHER, A SOCIAL STUDIES HIGH SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER IN FORT WORTH ISD.

HE THEN MOVED INTO AN INSTRUCTIONAL SPECIALIST CAPACITY, ALSO STILL IN FORT WORTH ISD FOR A YEAR, AND THEN HE WENT INTO CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION STARTED AS A MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL IN A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT MIDDLE SCHOOLS IN FORT WORTH ISD BEFORE BECOMING A MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, MOST RECENTLY IN KELLER ISD, WHERE HE WAS SERVING AT

TRINITY SPRINGS MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR SEVEN YEARS AS THE PRINCIPAL THERE, AND NOW HE BRINGS ALL OF HIS TALENTS AND SKILLS, BOTH FROM THE ARMED FORCES AND FROM HIS EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND TO US HERE IN LITTLE ELM ISD, AND WE'RE SO VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE HIM HERE.

FROM A PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE, DR.

BARRETT IS MARRIED, HIS ONE OF HIS CHILDREN AND HIS WIFE ARE HERE.

HIS WIFE, DEIDRE, AND HIS OLDEST SON CALEB, ARE HERE.

IF YOU GUYS WOULD STAND TO BE RECOGNIZED, WE'RE SO GLAD THAT YOU GUYS ARE HERE.

HE DOES HAVE THREE OTHER CHILDREN, SOPHIA, OLIVIA AND NATHAN.

WHEN ASKED WHAT DOES HE LIKE TO DO IN HIS SPARE TIME, HE LOVES TO READ, WATCH SPORTS, ESPECIALLY FOOTBALL.

WE'LL GET BACK TO THAT IN A SECOND, BUT HE DOES NOTE THAT MOST OF HIS SPARE TIME IS SPENT DOING STUFF WITH HIS KIDS.

SO WHEN ASKED WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TEAM AND SPORT TO WATCH THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION, HE GOT IT RIGHT.

WHICH MEANS HE ANSWERED THE COWBOYS.

THE COWBOYS, AND THEN HE ALSO SAID LSU IS HIS FAVORITE COLLEGE TEAM TO WATCH.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT IS MARRYING HIS WIFE, DEIDRE.

HE SAID WHAT MAKES HIM LAUGH THE MOST IS RERUNS OF THE OFFICE, THE TELEVISION SHOW THE OFFICE, AND A LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT HIM IS THAT HE WAS ABLE TO DUNK A BASKETBALL IN HIGH SCHOOL, BUT NOW NOT SO MUCH.

THE KNEES WON'T LET WON'T ALLOW.

SHE IS BEEN IN OUR LOBO FAMILY FOR SEVERAL YEARS, BUT GOING BACK TO HER PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, MS. COFIELD STARTED HER CAREER IN EDUCATION IN MESQUITE ISD, WHERE SHE WAS A TEACHER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER.

SHE THEN MOVED FROM MESQUITE ISD TO CONTINUE HER ELEMENTARY TEACHING CAREER IN PLANO ISD.

SHE KIND OF STARTED TRANSITIONING OUT OF THE CLASSROOM AND INTO COUNSELING WHILE STILL IN PLANO.

SHE WAS A MIDDLE SCHOOL COUNSELING INTERN IN PLANO ISD AND SHE HAS EARNED HER LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR, WHICH YOU GUYS MIGHT HAVE HEARD OF AS LPC.

SO SHE IS A THERAPIST AND DOES HAVE A BUSINESS EXCUSE ME, A PRACTICE WHERE SHE PRACTICES THERAPY.

SHE ALSO IS A GRIEF FACILITATOR.

SHE DOES VOLUNTEER WORK AT JOURNEY OF HOPE, WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AS THEY NAVIGATE THROUGH GRIEF, AND SHE IS CURRENTLY SORRY.

BEFORE THIS POSITION, SHE WAS A SCHOOL COUNSELOR AT CHAVEZ AND STRIKE AND THEN SHE WAS THE INTERVENTION COUNSELOR MOST RECENTLY LAST SCHOOL YEAR AT STRIKE MIDDLE SCHOOL.

SO SHE HAS LOTS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE PRIVATE PRACTICE AS WELL AS IN EDUCATION AS A COUNSELOR, AND WE'RE EXCITED FOR ALL OF OUR LITTLE ELM ISD COUNSELORS TO BE ABLE TO BENEFIT FROM THAT. ON A PERSONAL NOTE, THIS IS THE KIND OF DEDICATION THAT MS. COFIELD HAS. TODAY IS HER ACTUAL BIRTHDAY, AND SO SHE PAUSED HER FAMILY CELEBRATIONS TO COME AND GREET ALL OF YOU GUYS AND TO BE HERE WITH US.

THIS WAS A DIFFERENT YEAR.

THEY'RE COMING AT US IN DIFFERENT WAVES.

SOME OF THE THINGS YOU'LL HEAR ME SAY, WE DON'T QUITE HAVE THAT YET.

THERE ARE SOME THINGS WE DO HAVE.

I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY JUST AFTER THE PREP THE PAC AT THE HIGH SCHOOL TO WALK THE HALLS, AND IT WAS VERY QUIET, AND THEN I GOT TO BE AT LAKEVIEW THAT FIRST DAY, AND THE HEARTBEAT IS BACK IN OUR SCHOOLS NOW THAT SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION.

I ALSO AM LOOKING FORWARD TO FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, BUT ALSO TUESDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY NIGHT VOLLEYBALL AND TO ALL OF OUR FALL SPORTS.

I LOOK FORWARD TO AT LEAST ATTENDING A COUPLE OF GAMES TO SEE YOU GUYS IN ACTION.

IT WAS GREAT TO GET OUT TO SOME OF THE SCHOOLS.

GOT A CHANCE TO GO OUT AND HELP SOME OF THE THINGS AND THE PARENTS AND BRINGING THE KIDS AND EVERYTHING ELSE.

EVERYBODY IS SUPER EXCITED.

THE KIDS WERE JUST AMAZING AND WONDERFUL.

IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE SUPER EXCITED AND SOME KIDS WERE RUNNING AROUND, AND YOU CAN TELL THAT THEY'RE EXCITED TO BE BACK AT SCHOOL.

THE PARENTS, OF COURSE, WERE EXCITED TO HAVE THEM BACK, SO THAT WAS REALLY GREAT.

SO REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THAT'S GOING ON IN THE DISTRICT, THE THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING, AND YOU KNOW, ONCE AGAIN, CONDOLENCES OUT TO THE GLOVER FAMILY WAS A REALLY HARD LOSS, JUST KNOWING WHAT A WONDERFUL WOMAN SHE WAS AND WHAT SHE PROVIDED AND PRESENTED TO THE KIDS AND PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY.

SO WE'LL ALWAYS BE IN OUR PRAYERS AND THINKING ABOUT HER TO THE REST OF THE COMMUNITY.

RUBEN I WAS AT CHAVEZ AND SO RUBEN SAID, I HAVE BEEN HONORABLY BROUGHT INTO HIS MAINTENANCE GROUP BECAUSE I HELPED HIM PUT THE FLAGS OUT THAT MORNING. SO WE HAD TO DRIVE THOSE INTO THE INTO HARD GROUND, AND SO I'VE BEEN BAPTIZED BY RAISING THE FLAGS AT CHAVEZ, BUT I LOOK FORWARD TO THE FOOTBALL GAME.

I HAVE GRANDCHILDREN, ANOTHER SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT ARE IN THEIR MARCHING BAND, AND MY OLDEST DAUGHTER WAS IN THE MARCHING BAND IN DUNCANVILLE.

SO I'VE BEEN SUPPORTERS OF THAT FOR A YEAR, LOOKING FORWARD TO DO THE EXTRACURRICULARS THROUGHOUT THE SEASON FOR NOT JUST FOOTBALL, BUT FOR EVERYTHING.
